The Tall Ships voyage brought together some of the key deliverers of school sport across the country, including PE teachers, partnership development managers, SSCos and directors of specialism.
This unique five-day experience saw the newly formed crew joining together in an extremely
challenging environment which to many of them was completely alien and away from their everyday comfort zone.
This gave them the opportunity and freedom to learn new skills. It enabled them to challenge themselves in terms of conquering fears, build confidence and forge strong relationships with colleagues who are striving for the same goals and outcomes.
A key part of the voyage was for the crew to spend time discussing and exploring the issues surrounding PE and school sport as a way of networking, sharing ideas and best practise and to boost their own continual professional development (CPD).
