Schools are encouraged to participate in this programme if strengths apparent through the SEF process demonstrate that:
- Your school has good leadership distributed throughout the organisation with high quality leaders at all levels.
- Your school and your staff have the capacity, expertise and willingness that will be necessary in order to work with effectively other schools.
- Your headteacher & other leaders would benefit from further challenges & professional development beyond their own school.
- Your school is looking to enhance its own leadership development succession planning strategy.
- Your school has the desire to contribute at a national and local level to the system wide reform agenda by working in partnership with the NCSL & YST on leadership development and succession planning.
You will have support from both the national NCSL succession planning team and from an experienced Consultant Headteacher who steers the programme for the YST. The YST & NCSL will also assist you in brokering local & regional partnerships where these are not already in place.
