SSCo Succession Planning
Application and Assessment Criteria
The SSCo course will be a mixture of preparation for life as a PDM and general awareness about self-progression.
PDM preparation will focus on:
- Planning
- Working with SSCos
- How to use programmes for development
- Monitoring and evaluating success
- Identifying challenges and dealing with them positively
General awareness and progression will include:
- Building an appropriate CV, gathering appropriate experience and evidence
- Investigating directions for an SSCo
- Assessing personal strengths and weaknesses
Places are limited to a maximum of 30. SSCos will nominate themselves for this course and therefore to ensure an equitable process the following criteria will be used to select the 30 SSCos. Therefore when making an application please keep this criteria in mind.
- A minimum two years in post as a SSCo
- Identified career path discussed through hubsite and/or SSP appraisal system
- Support from hubsite line management
- Support from PDM
- You must be able to attend all four training dates in East Midlands
If after this we still have more than 30 eligible SSCos we will ask Youth Sport Trust Development Managers to provide supporting evidence of the applications.
