Partnership Development Manager Succession Planning
Application and Assessment Criteria
This course is aimed at PDMs that want to make progress in their careers, but outside the mainstream school management route (those requiring this route should work through the NCSL course available).
This route will focus PDMs on the development skills they use in the wider SSP context and make them aware of the skill set needed in a wider development role. This role would include:
- Community development
- NGB development
- Overseas development
As well as investigating the development skill set, PDMs will also be encouraged to do a large amount of self-reflection on their personal strengths and weaknesses and how these align with their chosen progression routes.
Places are limited to a maximum of 30. PDMs will nominate themselves for this course and therefore to ensure an equitable process the following criteria will be used to select the 30 PDMs. Therefore when applying please keep this criteria in mind.
- A minimum three years in post as a PDM
- Identified career path discussed through hubsite appraisal system
- Support from hubsite line management
- You must be able to attend four training dates in West Midlands
If after this we still have more than 30 eligible PDMs we will ask Youth Sport Trust Development Managers to provide supporting evidence of the applications.
