This
year’s School and Sport Partnerships’ Conference held on 15 to 16
October at The International Centre, Telford is bigger and better than
ever with a new full two-day programme, so don’t miss out!

Entitled “Playing your Part in the Team”, the conference will focus on the incredible team work it takes to provide PE and sport to young people and will be exploring these essential team roles through the five themes of Curriculum; Leading, Volunteering and Coaching; School to Community; Competition and Infrastructure. It will explore the joint working of School Sport Partnerships, County Sport Partnerships, National Governing Bodies and Local Education Authorities.
Themes will be explored through keynotes, mini-keynotes, workshops and networking. Delegates will also have the opportunity to be updated on all Youth Sport Trust programmes and visit an exhibition featuring the latest innovations in PE and Sport
In addition to the new full two day programme we have also introduced a Youth Sport Trust Demonstration Playground and a Competition Zone to showcase some of the sports from the UK School Games. These new areas will be part of the exhibition and activities will run during the breaks in between main sessions
The opening keynote address on day one will be Sir Clive Woodward from the British Olympic Association and on day two the Rt. Hon Andy Burnham MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport will provide the opening address. Sue Campbell, Chair of the Youth Sport Trust and UK Sport, Steve Grainger, CEO of the Youth Sport Trust will also be hosting this year’s conference.
