ENGSO Youth Forum conference

Young OfficialFive Young Official Development Officers – Will Wallace, Jemma Blott, Kat Southwell, Jordan Fleary and Neil Raine – are attending the European Non Governmental Sports Organisation Youth Forum conference this week in Istanbul, Turkey.

All of them have been developing Young Officials awards with NGBs and support from v to recruit more young volunteers to become officials. Representatives from Sweden, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Finland, France, Hungary and Serbia are going to the Youth Forum conference.

The 16th ENGSO General Assembly brings together representatives from different sports organisations across Europe to gather to exchange and share good practice about different sports structures and programmes and matters that have an impact on youth and sport. The ENGSO aims to:

  • Represent the interest of the members of ENGSO Youth.
  • Represent the interests of young people in sport on a European level.
  • Network with other European representatives.
  • Exchange ideas on national sports developments in the field of youth.
  • Offer discussion platform for current sport political issues in the field of youth.
  • Seek common positions on sports issues in the field of youth and publicise these positions.
  • Strengthen the cooperation with other bodies dealing with children and youth matters.
  • Support the member organisations in improving their work with youth sport matters.
