Further Education Sport Co-ordinator (FESCo) National Induction
Overview:
To familiarise FESCos with the national expectations of School Sport Partnerships and how they fit in with the programme and enable the FESCos to develop an understanding of their role against these expectations in relation to the local needs with their partnership.
Outcomes:
- To enable FESCos to understand the new Physical Education and Sport Strategy (PESSYP) for young people and the roles and responsibilities of national and local partners within this strategy.
- To understand the roles and responsibilities of a FESCo within the context of a School Sport Partnership.
- To understand the role of other key post holders in the infrastructure.
- To highlight the challenges/competencies in relation to the five hour offer.
- To develop some initial priorities for action including auditing and baselining.
Who is it for:
FE Sport Co-ordinators that are new into post.
This course is a mandatory requirement.
