What does the Big Lottery SSCo Programme means for me as a School Sport Partnership?
A PDM is expected to manage the Big SSCo OSHL Grant for the Partnership.
In addition to the above, as a PDM ensure that you:
- Are aware of the key dates for 2007/8 grant management and plan the paperwork requirements accordingly (please refer to PDM Essential Guide.)
- Ensure Big Lottery funded OSHL programmes are compliant with the terms and conditions of the grant for instance beneficiaries must be targeted and programmes not open access.
- Ensure that you keep your own financial records so you can keep up to date with any likely over spends / under spends of activities & put strategies in place accordingly. Liaise with your Bursar regularly.
- Liaise with your Big Lottery Grant Officer over any problems or issues including projected under spends. They are there to help and support you with spending the money to benefit the young people in your partnership.
- Provide briefing / training to any SSCos, Coaches, AOTTs or staff that may be involved with the coordination or delivery of the programme and programme requirements.
- Ensure you monitor and evaluate your programme appropriately.
- Put in place strategies for sustainability and or exit routes for activity.
- Involve your Partnership Steering Group with process for support & assurance over expenditure and grant management issues.
Please ensure you refer to the PDM essential guide for more information on grant management
